Information:

In September of 2008 Melanie Hart performed a concert for the men of Washington Wilkes Pre-Release Center.

Melanie Hart is a woman with a passion for sharing Christ.  Her heart is to bring people into an intimate relationship with Christ through her music and her testimonies.  Whether singing to hundreds at the National Day of Prayer in Ottawa, a small church of 50 in Salmo, British Columbia or in a concert hall in Tiblisi, The Republic of Georgia, or the Wilkes Pre-Release Center her message remains the same.  She shares God’s heart and His love for people.

Announcing A New Thing: The Music Video Project
with Canadian Singer/Songwriter Melanie Hart

We are pleased to partner with Grammy Award Winner Artist/Producer/Songwriter/Filmmaker, Dave Moody, President of Lamon Records/Dave Moody Productions, of Nashville, TN on this music project.

Moody not only listens to Melanie Hart’s music as a part of his personal collection but in 2008 wrote, "Melanie Hart’s new CD A New Thing is a powerful musical testimony of the artist’s journey and walk with God. Each of her songs are a personal praise offering that tell of God’s faithfulness and love to us all."

Filming: August 24 & 25, 2009
Location: Washington, Georgia

Because missionaries went.

Because a church came to say thanks.

Because a mom left a daughter’s CD to bless.

Because her music was taken to heart.

Because a community opened their arms.

Because a missionary returned and obeyed.

Because a prisoner was blessed.

This is a glimpse of how God orchestrated “A New Thing: The Music Video Project” in Wilkes County, Georgia.

Because He first loved us, A New Thing is possible.

Because He opened doors, A New Thing reached an often forgotten and misunderstood part of society.

Because His ways are not our ways, A New Thing continues to touch, heal and transform.

Because you prayed, A New Thing has been heard.

Because YOU give, A New Thing will be heard by thousands more.

Psalm 142:7, “Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name.”

Galatians 5:1a, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”
