Information:

This project has been initiated to help the people in Ahuachapán, El Salvador set up a Thrift Store to be named Good Samaritan Store.

A team from First United Methodist Church left Washington, GA on July 14, 2010 to visit the village of Ahuachapán in El Salvador and establish a relationship with the people of this town. Over 400 pounds of clothes from God's Marketplace were take to El Salvador as the initial inventory for the store.

The Good Samaritan Store is located in a house. Local folks from the church helped with the painting, cleaning, and set-up. The room was cleaned and painted, racks for the clothes were welded and made, coat hangers were purchased at the local market and over 700 hundred items were hung up for sale.
