Information:
This project has been initiated to help the people in
Ahuachapán, El Salvador set
up a Thrift Store to be named Good Samaritan Store.
A team from First United Methodist Church left Washington, GA on July 14,
2010 to visit the village of
Ahuachapán in El Salvador and establish a relationship
with the people of this town. Over 400 pounds of clothes from God's Marketplace
were take to El Salvador as the initial inventory for the store.
The Good Samaritan Store is located in a house. Local folks from the church
helped with the painting, cleaning, and set-up. The room was cleaned and painted, racks for the
clothes were welded and made, coat hangers were purchased at the local market
and over 700 hundred items were hung up for sale. Click on the picture for an

In May of 2011, approximately 2,000 lbs of clothes was
shipped to the "Good Samaritan Store" in El Salvador.
